Texas-based Bosque Systems announced it has developed a new technology it calls “Well Shock” that its officials said restimulates legacy wells.

Officials said the treatment, which uses proprietary technology involving chlorine dioxide, can extend lives of saltwater disposal wells and boost production from older producers as well.

“We believe this will be a game changer,” said Peter Pappas, Bosque Systems’ vice president of growth and business development. “We are excited about the results we’ve seen. … It is able to remove blockages that previously couldn’t be reached.”
